Girls On Wheels

Girls on Wheels Fall Wrap-Up 2024 Social Ride

Join guest mentor Lynne Armstrong, the original "Air Maiden" for a Girls on Wheels Fall Wrap-Up Social Ride on October 25th from 1-5 pm.

Girls on Wheels is a non-competitive, non-apologetic, non-coached ride for girls to get together, share knowledge, gain confidence, and support each other. It’s a place to connect with a community, make new friends, challenge your skills, or just get out for a ride. It’s a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive space. It’s a ride for all female-identifying people of all ability levels. Each ride will have a first aid trained, female, adult mentor to foster a safe, fun, and positive experience.

This session is geared towards girls aged 10-15 and will include a social-style mountain bike ride and a post-ride social, at the Youth Centre, with food, beverages, games, and prizes.

We will be working together to dream up what we want this program to look like in 2025. We want to know what you need from a girl-focused riding club. Do you want some coaching? Do you want to race? Do you want it to be strictly social? Field trips???

The ability levels needed for this session are Beginner-Intermediate to Advanced. We will have multiple groups for different skill levels. You must be comfortable riding a mountain bike off-road with gears and disc brakes.
