A CONNECTED COMMUNITY THROUGH MOUNTAIN BIKING

30X30 Challenge
30 MINUTES. 30 DAYS. ANY BIKE.
Do you need some incentive to get back in the saddle?
Are you training for the Pemberton Enduro or Spud Crusher Women’s Enduro?
Want to reduce your carbon footprint and bike to work or school more consistently?
Want to win some sweet prizes?
PORCA is excited to invite you to participate in a 30-minute x 30-day bike challenge from April 1st - 30th. We’re welcoming people of all ages, experiences, and ability levels. All you need is something to pedal and a bit of persistence. Bike (virtually or in-person) with other people and win some sweet prizes!
HOW IT WORKS:
First, you need to be a PORCA member
Register for 30x30 Day Bike Challenge. It’s a free benefit to being a PORCA member!
Choose a bike to pedal for a minimum of 30 minutes a day, every day, consecutively for April. Mountain bike, road bike, spin bike, cruiser bike — if it has pedals that make a wheel move, it counts!
The 30 minutes can be done all at once or broken up into smaller chunks of time. However, the total for the day needs to add up to at least 30 minutes.
Did you do trail maintenance instead of (or in addition to) biking for a day? Thank you! Please include your trail maintenance minutes in the daily tracker instead of (or in addition to) biking for that day. There is no separate category for trail maintenance, log them as you would a ride log.
Enter your name and minutes into the minute tracker. (See Below)
This event is based on the Honor System – nobody will be checking your Strava.
Share your progress on social media for more chances to win! Use hashtag #PORCA30X30 and tag @porcabikes
READY TO START BIKING?
STEP 1: REGISTER ON AMILIA
STEP 2: ADD YOURSELF TO THE DATABASE
Do this once for the entire challenge. After you’ve added yourself to the database you’ll be able to find yourself from a dropbox menu in the minutes tracker.
Step 3: Start riding and record your minutes using the Daily Minutes Tracker (See below)
DAILY MINUTES TRACKER
ENTER YOUR MINUTES HERE
Find your name in the dropbox menu and enter your minutes. Your entry must be submitted before 6 am the next day in order to eligible for weekly prizes.
If this is your first time entering your minutes and you don’t see your name, go back and make sure you’ve done Step 2 of the registration. After you’ve added yourself to the database, refresh this page and you’ll see yourself in the dropdown menu in the tracker.
Not sure if you submitted your minutes? Search the database here.
Massive thanks to Paula Keohan for designing this database system!
PRIZES
All participants have the opportunity to win prizes; don’t give up if you miss a day!
There will be two prize packs per week. One will be chosen from the participants highlighted on PORCA’s social feed that week, and one will be chosen from the participants who rode every day that week. Make sure to use #PORCA30X30 and tag @porcabikes when sharing on Instagram!
For the grand prize, you need to have biked all 30 days!
Winners will be chosen at random from the list of entries. The more you bike, the more chances you have at winning something!
Check our Instagram/FB weekly to see if you are a winner!
Prizes include merchandise, food, swag, and gift certificates from our sponsors. Winners will be announced Monday after the week finishes.
All prizes MUST BE PICKED UP from Elevate Bike Shop. We will contact winners with pick up instructions.
If you are a business and want to donate a prize, please email info@porcabikes.com.

Sustainable Trail-Building Workshop
On Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, head over to the Pemberton and District Public Library for a Sustainable Trail-Building Workshop.
The workshop will focus on best practices for creating and maintaining trails responsibly. We’ll dive into the principles of sustainable trail building and how to ensure long-lasting, environmentally friendly trails.
Guest speakers from the Pemberton Valley Recreational Trails Working Group, including representatives from Líl̓wat Nation Lands & Resources, PORCA, Pemberton Valley Trails Association PVTA Pemberton Wildlife Association, Spel'kúmtn Community Forest, and the Indigenous Youth Mountain Bike Program, will be joining this collaborative presentation.
After the workshop, stick around for a screening of the movie Dirt Relations.
Dirt Relations is an inspiring and thought-provoking documentary that explores the powerful connection between mountain biking, reconciliation, and healing intergenerational trauma. Through captivating storytelling and breathtaking visuals, the film follows three individuals—Patrick, Thomas, and Tom—as they collaborate with Indigenous communities across British Columbia to build trails and empower Indigenous youth.
This workshop is made possible thanks to the generosity of the Whistler Community Foundation.

Mental Strategy Workshop
Mental Strategy Workshop
Gearing up for the Pemberton Enduro or Spudcrusher, or just looking to work on your mental strategy while riding this summer? The Mind Mountain is hosting an exclusive workshop for PORCA members on April 13th.
What: A 4-hour workshop consisting of an off-trail Mental Strategy Session, and a ~3-hour trail ride and application session.
Why: Our mental state can greatly affect our riding, racing performance, and enjoyment. Since a rider’s mental state is deeply intertwined with their technical skills, we build both simultaneously, providing feedback and strategies for improvement.
How: We start with an off-trail workshop, discussion, and Q&A about the group’s mental challenges in riding/racing. Then, we go on a ~3-hour trail ride, focusing on a common skill or terrain goal. We begin on easy terrain, then move to a specific challenging section like a drop, roll, or corner learning to apply new mental strategies to regulate our nervous system and enhance performance.
The goal doesn’t necessarily have to be to ride the challenging feature that day, more important is that participants learn the process to turn abstract psychological concepts into practical biking skills for many situations.
