2020 Executive Director Summary
Thoughts from our Executive Director, Bree Thorlakson. A summary of 2020, and what to look for in 2021.
Thank you, Village of Pemberton and SLRD!
What a year! We hosted events for over 1400 participants, provided the equivalent of 430 hours of after school and summer child care, represented mountain bike users during discussions for the Trails Master Plan, and solidified the organization’s governance structure to support future success.
PORCA appreciates the support provided by our local governments. Both the SLRD and the Village of Pemberton provided key seed funding for the Association’s new Executive Director. As we reflect on this year and plan for 2020 we are excited by the opportunities this support has made possible.
